Can I have a PT even if I haven't exercised for years?
Absolutely! Once you've chosen the option for you, I'll contact you to arrange your free consultation. As well as a chat to discuss your fitness goal, the consultation requires you to complete a PAR-Q form which covers your recent and current activity level. Mandy Fitness always advises anyone to seek confirmation from their health practitioner before beginning an exercise programme, especially if you haven't exercised for a while.
Should I exercise if I'm going through the menopause?
Yes you should - in fact I recommend it! Bone density decreases as we age but even more so after the menopause. so it's very important to do some form of weight bearing exercise to help combat that!
Can I still exercise if I've had chest pain recently?
Only after and if your GP says it's okay for you to do so.
I really want to start exercising but don't know how to get started. Can you help?
I certainly can! Firstly, we'll have a chat to work out why you want to start exercising and then I'll create you a fitness plan based on your health/fitness goal and your current fitness level. In time you'll learn what exercises and activities you like and what you don't like and we can go from there.
I suffer with anxiety so is it really a good idea for me to exercise?
Yes, is the short answer! Exercise is my number one recommended 'medicine' for anxiety. Whether that's a full on strength or cardio session or simply a walk in the park. Exercise of any sort has a very positive impact on our mental health. (However, I'm no doctor!)
What happens if I buy an online training programme and am unsure how to do one or more of the exercises?
Contact me! When you buy an online training programme it is one made specifically for you, based on your health/fitness goals and current fitness level. Although it's an online programme I'm here for you! I'm here to help with any issues or questions regarding the plan's exercises, techniques or any other relevant query or concerns.
My doctor said I have high blood pressure so can I still exercise?
Only after and if your GP says it's okay to do so.
